1. 2019 · After graduation

   On 8 August 2019, I completed my BE in Civil Engineering from ITM GOI, Gwalior. My branch was Civil, but my interest was in computer science. After college, my career direction felt confused — what I studied and what I wanted to do did not line up.

2. 2019–2023 · Government exams & first projects

   For about four years, I prepared for government job exams. I gave many attempts, but none cleared. During that same phase I launched rolly rolls (9 Sep 2020, C# & Blender) and built bucksbasket.com (Nov 2020). Those years were hard, but they taught me to keep trying after failure.

3. Job search · The real numbers

   Before my first corporate role, I applied to roughly 3,100–3,200 jobs. About 40 turned into interview calls; most did not end in an offer. I often felt underconfident in the room — stammering from nervousness and sometimes saying unrelated things when the pressure hit. I looked for mock-interview platforms, but many were too expensive or subscription-based, and I needed a job first.

4. Nov 2023 · Jetking & self-study

   While applying, I studied heavily on Ambition Box — bookmarking pages and making notes. On 4 November 2023 I joined Jetking Gwalior for a six-month Technical Support Engineer course. I completed it in three months, then focused fully on interviews.

5. Four interviews · Path to Microland

   My first clear was an Indore field-support role at about ₹15,000 per month — I declined; the pay was too low. A Delhi company took me through HR and technical rounds to a final round, where nerves cost me the offer. Alliance Digital (Mumbai) asked about asset management in HR — it was new to me, and I was out in round one. By Microland, I knew which topics to expect after three interviews, cleared HR and technical, negotiated from about ₹22,000 to ₹25,000 per month (CTC roughly ₹28,000), and accepted the role.

6. 2024–2025 · Microland

   I was on the payroll of Microland Ltd. in Field Support Operations, deployed at the Welspun Dahej plant for about one year. The plant closed in March 2025. I learned discipline, on-site support, and how a large plant operation runs day to day.

7. 2025–2026 · MockitX

   After Microland, I spent seven months learning cloud technology — and I realised my struggle was not unique. Countless job seekers prepare hard yet still do not know which questions a real panel will ask, how they will behave when nerves hit, or where their confidence will slip. For many, the first time they truly see their performance is in the interview that matters — and dream companies reject them for gaps they never rehearsed. A common workaround is to treat smaller companies as practice runs before target employers; even then, most candidates are still turned down when it counts. That is the problem MockitX exists to solve: a customized mock interview with real human HR and Technical mentors, honest feedback, and practice before the interview that decides your offer — not after. On 16 November 2025 I committed to building it, designed and shipped mockitx.com on my own, and registered the company on 1 January 2026.
